About

A bit about me, my philosophy, and the experiences that have shaped me.

Having grown up in the DC area, I have a deep love for DC and will talk anyone’s ear off about the need for statehood. I believe that good public policy is essential to society and government.

My philosophy when it comes to policy is informed by my experiences traveling; field research, studying abroad, learning new languages, and exploring cities across the world. The people closest to the issue, whether that’s access to reliable transportation or being impacted by voter suppression, generally know the solution. My job as a strategic policy expert is to find the path to that solution and ensure alignment throughout the process.

I believe in the power of local government to solve some of our biggest societal problems. At the end of the day, we all want to live in thriving communities and feel a sense of belonging, and policy is an important component to achieving that goal.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time cooking with my husband, learning Arabic on Duolingo, drinking and studying natural wine, and spending time with my two rescue cats and dog.

Some snapshots from my field work adventures in Kenya, Tanzania, the Caribbean, and Palestine.
